Annual giving campaigns at Washburn are primarily designed to raise unrestricted funds. These unrestricted funds can be used where they are needed the most. The needs change somewhat each year, however; generally unrestricted gifts are used to fund things like instruction and academic support, scholarships, student services, administration, maintenance, and campus beautification projects.
Each year thousands of Washburn University alumni, faculty and staff, friends and parents express their loyalty to the University through their annual donations. The annual campaigns at Washburn include direct mail, phone and email efforts to raise unrestricted dollars to support different areas on campus. All of these gifts, regardless of size, make a difference in the lives of today’s students. Investing in Washburn through annual gifts shows a true commitment to the University.
Direct Mail
The direct mail annual giving campaign allows us to stay in touch with our alumni and friends. Direct mail pieces allow us to update individuals on current events from campus and ask them for their support of the University.
Phonathon
Through our annual phonathon campaign current students are able to contact Washburn supporters to update their records, inform them about University events and solicit financial support for Washburn.
Faculty and Staff
