School of Business

“The level and scope of private giving makes the difference between having a “good” business school and one that has potential to become a “great” business school. Whether it is providing scholarships for our hard-working students, supporting our faculty members’ dream initiatives, or providing facilities that enhance our curriculum and learning environment, each and every private dollar that we receive is so very important to our success. At Washburn we are fortunate to have such great support from our business alumni and our partners in the business community. We strive every day to give stakeholders the best return that we can for their invested trust in us.”
            - Dr. David Sollars, Dean of the School of Business

Washburn's School of Business offers high quality, student-focused programs that encourage the development of our students. It is the school’s goal to stress and instill the value of continuous, life-long learning. In the School of Business, skill development focuses on the core competencies of communications, teamwork and interpersonal skills, problem solving, ethical decision-making, technology, entrepreneurship, and global awareness. Washburn University is small enough to recognize each student as an individual and yet large enough to provide a diversified, well-balanced curriculum. The curriculum in the School of Business offers breadth, as well as specialization in various disciplines.

The School of Business offers degrees at both the graduate and undergraduate levels and is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. This level of excellence places Washburn’s School of Business as one of the top programs in the country.

Donations of any size can make a difference for the School of Business.
